It's a hardware IP-KVM (Keyboard-Video-Mouse over IP) device — plugs into your PC's HDMI/DisplayPort + USB + ethernet, and gives us remote access at the BIOS level, before any operating system loads. This means we can install Windows from scratch, change BIOS settings (memory timings, fan curves, overclocking profiles), and recover from issues no software-based remote-access tool could touch. Standard remote tools like AnyDesk or TeamViewer only work after Windows is running; the KVM works from the moment the PC powers on.

Worldwide. Australia is fastest (2-5 business days via standard courier). International (NZ, UK, US, EU, SEA, etc.) is 5-10 business days via DHL or FedEx Express. Freight is billed at cost plus a $45 handling fee. Customer is responsible for any customs / duties in the destination country — we provide the commercial invoice with HS codes for clearance.

Those are great for fixing problems in a running OS. They're useless for: clean OS installs, BIOS work, fixing a PC that won't boot, recovering from a corrupted Windows install, or low-level performance tuning that needs BIOS access. The Comet KVM works at the hardware level — same access you'd have if you were sitting in front of the machine, even when the machine is broken or unconfigured.

BIOS-level work carries small but real risks. A failed firmware update can brick a motherboard, though modern motherboards have dual-BIOS recovery features that make this rare. We carry Professional Indemnity insurance. You sign a clear consent form at order checkout acknowledging the risk for firmware-update tasks. If a board fails during our work, we coordinate the manufacturer RMA at no extra cost — but we don't replace the board ourselves under warranty.

Just the PC, your network, and 10 minutes to plug in the KVM. You don't need to be technical. We ship the KVM with photo-illustrated instructions. Once it's plugged in and powered, we take over from there. You can watch the screen during the work or come back to a tuned rig.

Yes — two options. (1) Purchase the unit for $595 + freight and keep it permanently for future remote sessions; useful if you upgrade hardware regularly or have multiple PCs. (2) Subscribe to ongoing remote support at $29/month with the KVM staying in place — covers quarterly tune-ups + on-demand remote sessions for issues. Otherwise, the KVM ships back to us via prepaid return shipping after the engagement.

On Gaming Rig Tune: anything you provide a licence for. We don't supply pirated software. For your own game library (Steam, Epic, Battle.net, etc.) we'll log into your accounts (with you watching) and queue downloads — usually we let those run overnight rather than holding the KVM. For Workstation Pro, we install Adobe / Microsoft 365 / dev tools / whatever you specify, using your licences. OS licences (Windows Home or Pro) we can supply at extra cost if needed.

No — gaming is our biggest market but the service works for any PC. Remote workforce laptops, creative workstations, dev machines, headless servers — all valid. We named it 'Outlaw Remote' rather than 'Gaming Remote' deliberately so we can grow into all these markets. Gaming Rig Tune is the most-purchased tier today; Workstation Pro is growing fast in the freelance / creative segment.

We provide benchmark scores post-tune as part of every Gaming Rig Tune and Workstation Pro engagement — so you can see the measured uplift from baseline. We don't guarantee specific game frame rates or scores — those depend on too many factors outside our control (game updates, driver patches, individual workload). What we do guarantee: the system runs at the optimised state we configured, with documented settings, ready for you to adjust if you want to tune further yourself.
