Three reasons. (1) Better value at the upper-mid range — manufacturers cut corners on PSU, cooling, and case quality to hit price points. Custom lets us spend the money where it counts. (2) Repairability — every component is upgradeable individually, so you're not throwing out a whole PC because one part aged out. (3) Tune-ability — when we ship the PC to you, Outlaw Remote configures it at the BIOS level via a Comet KVM. Off-the-shelf prebuilts ship with conservative factory settings; ours ship pre-tuned for your specific workload.

All assembly happens at Fernvale, Queensland, Australia. We don't drop-ship from overseas. Every build is hand-assembled, stress-tested for 4+ hours, photographed at each major step (so you have a build record), and shipped directly to you via insured courier.

All standard manufacturer warranties pass through to you — GPU, CPU, motherboard, PSU, etc. typically have 3-5 year warranties. We add a 12-month Outlaw IT workmanship warranty on top — if something we did during assembly contributed to a failure, that's on us. The 5-year extended warranty add-on consolidates everything: one number to call, one party to deal with, full coverage.

Yes — if you've spec'd your own list, send it through and we'll sanity-check it (compatibility, bottlenecks, power budget), source the parts at distributor pricing, and quote the build labour. Labour for custom-spec builds typically $400-$900 depending on complexity (custom watercooling, sleeved cables, etc.) — quoted before we order.

Australian builds shipped freight-included. International builds quoted case-by-case — air freight + customs handling + the inherent risk of shipping built PCs makes it expensive (typically +$400-$800 freight + customs to most markets). For international orders we usually recommend Outlaw Remote configuration on locally-sourced hardware instead — same tuning quality without the shipping cost.

Standard builds: 7-14 business days from order confirmation, dependent on part availability. The Apprentice and The Outlaw tiers — usually 7-10 days. The Sheriff — 10-14 days. The Marshal — quoted with each build because workstation parts can have longer lead times. We confirm exact ETA at order placement.

Absolutely. We photograph each major step — parts unboxing, motherboard prep, CPU + cooler install, GPU install, cable management, final build, stress test results. You receive a build album via shared link before the PC ships. Many of our customers post these to their gaming communities — we're happy to be tagged.

We sell the PC, not peripherals. We can recommend pairings if you ask — keyboard/mouse/monitor/audio choices depend heavily on your specific use case (competitive vs immersion vs productivity). Happy to advise via a 15-min call. We don't carry peripheral inventory because the per-customer-spec range is enormous and our value-add isn't there.

Every Outlaw Customs build includes Outlaw Remote PC Setup Express ($249 value) bundled in — drivers, baseline tuning, 14-day post-arrival remote support. Upgrade to Gaming Rig Tune (+$200) for full BIOS tuning, GPU tuning, RGB setup, benchmarking. Upgrade to Workstation Pro (+$550) for full software stack install + data migration. The KVM device stays in your PC throughout configuration; we coordinate shipping when complete.

Yes — corporate fleet builds get a 5% multi-unit discount on builds of 5+ PCs to a single business client. Common use cases: replacement laptop / workstation fleets, video editing teams, dev shops, content production studios. Quoted by the project with a Statement of Work; managed clients of Outlaw IT MSP services get additional consideration on top.
